Note cards : Photographs in this gallery are available on note cards, ideal for adding some color and beauty to notes to friends or loved ones. Each folded card is 4.5" x 5.25", and comes with a plain white envelope. These all-occasion cards contain no pre-printed message, but each has the image title, along with my name and website, listed on the reverse, so you can easily order more. Order 10 cards @ $3.50 each, or buy 20 or more @ $3.00 each, plus $4.95 for shipping via USPS Priority Mail. Free shipping for orders over 30 cards! Multiples of 10 cards per image, please. The Heron : Great Blue Herons are patient predators. I found this one perched on top of a swallows' nest box, and at first thought it was trying to get at the baby swallows inside, but soon realized it was using the box as a lookout. It appeared to be actively hunting, so I stuck around to see what it would do, and was rewarded minutes later as it plunged into the lake only to emerge triumphantly a moment later with a nice fish in its beak.
